In this demo, an instructor uses Feedback Aide short response to evaluate scientific reasoning in a real-world context. The learner is expected to use understanding of scientific principles and logic to formulate an answer. Feedback Aide scores the response and, in the case where the response is incorrect, indicates where the learner went wrong and what a correct response might've looked like.
1. Start by choosing a response and then clicking 'Generate Feedback'.
2. Feedback Aide now scores the response: Review both the rubric and the 'Feedback to learner' to see the evaluation and suggestions for improvement.
3. The human grader has final say. Interact with the rubric to adjust scores and edit the feedback to the learner as needed.
Explain ideas with clarity and accuracy.
This rubric type asks learners to describe an idea, event, or concept in their own words, using correct facts and logical reasoning. It evaluates how well students understand the content and how clearly they can express their thinking.
