Graphing and charts

Graphing question type

The graphing question type lets learners plot points, draw lines, and shapes on a graph. This makes it perfect for assessing algebra, geometry, calculus, and more. Learners can move beyond static answers and get more hands-on with the question.

Number line with plot question type

With the number line with plot, learners can directly plot points, intervals, rays, segments, or stacked points directly on a number line. This is ideal for working with integers, fractions, decimals, negative numbers, intervals, and inequalities. Instead of relying on memorized rules, students demonstrate real understanding of number magnitude, ordering, equivalence (fractions and decimals), negative values, and inequalities.

Charts question type

The charts question type lets learners interact with data by creating or interpreting visual representations. Available types include bar charts, line charts, histograms, dot plots, and line plots. Authors can ask learners to plot values, compare categories, or analyze trends. Especially useful for statistics and data literacy, this question type helps learners build critical skills in interpreting data.
