Dublin, Ireland (July 22, 2026) — Learnosity has been ranked 37th on the TIME list of World’s Top EdTech Companies 2026, out of 500 companies named worldwide. Learnosity places ninth among the 111 European companies on the list and first among the five Irish companies recognized.
The ranking caps a milestone year for the Dublin-based company, which powers the assessment technology behind many of the world’s leading learning platforms and educational publishers. Between July 2025 and June 2026, its technology delivered one billion assessments to 47.5 million learners worldwide through the learning products of over 150 customers.
Gavin Cooney, CEO and co-founder of Learnosity, said: “37th in the world. I had to read it twice. To land that high on TIME’s list, top of the Irish companies, ninth in Europe, is a genuine thrill.
“Mostly, though, I’m proud of the team. We do our work quietly, in the background of other people’s products, and it’s rare that anyone shines a light on it. This does. Every one of the billion assessments we delivered last year was somebody, somewhere, learning something. That’s the part that lands for me: not that TIME noticed us, but that TIME noticed what our customers are pulling off with what we build.
“And we’re not standing still. What’s coming next is the work I’m most excited about in years.”
TIME compiles the ranking with data provider Statista, which screens thousands of education technology companies worldwide and scores them on two pillars. Financial strength, weighted at 70% of the total, draws on revenue, funding, and market capitalization data. Industry impact, the remaining 30%, reflects the holistic impact of a company’s product and service portfolio, its intellectual property, and its web relevance.
